This tropical blue ocean is typical of the dry season days, photographed here from a light aircraft over Bynoe Harbour.
Using the huge tidal swing of the north to my advantage, the patterns and colours revealed with the various lower tides always provide something special to photograph! As the tide recedes, the landscape revealed beneath is often a surprise with a range of colour contrasts to be explored.
This peaks of the dry sandy area contrasts with the deep gold colour of the lower lying sands, pleasantly swirled and scatted with light blue ripples. The ribbons of blue lead to the brilliant tropical ocean of the Arafura Sea.
A true tropical paradise and vivid display of Territory colour, is the contrast of Blue and Gold.
All of my limited edition artworks have something completely unique and special about them - a collection of images that can never be replicated, as the natural conditions provided were too perfect and fleeting! The limited images are those shots “harder to get” - many take me years to pull together and some just happen to be a combination of all the elements I dream of!
This print is 32 × 48” size (80 × 120cm), a fine art canvas artwork, with a protective coating and finished with a beautiful natural Australian Oak frame.
