I am very excited to release a comprehensive guidebook sharing the outdoor wonders of the NT.
The only book focused solely on the very best NTs wild places and all they have to offer! Endless walks, 4WD treks, sites of interest, lookouts, activities, wildlife encounters, adventures and camps. This book will help you make the best of your time in the NTs natural places.
Packed full of practical information and tips from a long-time local. Richly illustrated with over 150 full-colour photographs and dozens of detailed maps. A summary table, indicating facilities and highlights, is included to help the reader find exactly the right place for the occasion.
The Northern Territory is an outdoor lovers paradise - the best-known desert destination in Australia and a must-visit destination for any Australian (or visitor to Australia) who loves the outback. As well as being the home of two of the country's most famous parks - Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Kakadu - there are dozens more just waiting to be explored.
Years in the making, my passion is to share the magic of the NT and I’m so excited to make this publication a reality. Published by Woodslane Press in association with Australian Geographic.

Open space and open skies: searching for our small moments of beauty. A heavy sky, briefly fringed with pink as wind blows out to sea. Casuarina Coastal Reserve, Darwin.
I stop in for a night’s camp at Karlu Karlu (The Devils Marbles), any time I drive south on the Stuart Highway. The facilities are basic but the complex landscape of boulders makes it more than worthwhile.
There’s a different landscape to be found on every visit, as the walking tracks meander in and around precariously stacked boulders.
On this occasion, the captivating landscape is aglow in the warm red hues of a complimentary sunset sky. The ancient rock formations, shaped by millenia of erosion, stand out vividly against the backdrop… a mesmerising and otherworldly piece of art, created by nature. I am constantly in awe of the beauty of the Australian outback!
Limited to 20 editions as part of the “Vivid Territory" Collection - An Exploration of Colour. A collection of images showcasing the vibrancy of the Northern Territory landscape, released in colour-based series.
A beautiful vista awaits those who are able to trek down to the 8th Gorge Campsite, Nitmiluk National Park.
Located above the main gorge, high on top of the clifftops, the campsite is behind where I took this photo from - a sandy, shady beach on the banks of a seasonal waterfall.
A peaceful morning watching the first rays of light hit the ancient ochre cliffs.
NT ICONS & Faves
In a Split Second is one of the most spectacular lightning strikes I’ve ever captured - close range, bright, with many beautiful branches.
Nightcliff jetty captured pre-dawn at the end of October - one of the first coastal storms of the 2012 wet season. I raced to the coastline as soon as thunder awoke me! I only had time for two shots before the storm was right on top of me - this was the first image of the two, before the rain ended the shoot.
An iconic Darwin landmark with the iconic Darwin backdrop of an impressive lightning sky.
Limited to 50 editions.
Uluru provides many angles and patterns for photography - this tree is in Kantju Gorge, where I spent plenty of time lying on the ground searching for the best angle to capture the sprawling shape of this desert bloodwood with the red rock backdrop.
