Nourlangie in the Buildup - Anbangbang Billabong, Kakadu

from A$160.00

The ‘Build Up’ in the Top End is a beautiful time of year. As billabongs like this one wait for a replenishment of water, the clouds build, with the constant tease of rain. Captured here early in the build up, the clouds created the most dramatic light - a dark backdrop and just a subtle glow of light on the iconic shape of Nourlangie.

Nourlangie Rock is home to some of the most spectacular Aboriginal Rock Art in Kakadu. A walk around the rock reveals so many overhangs and fascinating structures, it’s easy to see and feel why this place is so special.

This panoramic image encapsulates the feeling of Kakadu at this time of year!
