The Magic of a Silent Dawn

from A$175.00

A dry season sunrise shot of some of my favourite Darwin mangroves.

Hazy skies, soft colours and just a hint of soft pastel colour before dawn.

Tranquil turquoise, green water thanks to the golden light of the magic hour.

I’ve never photographed thse trees at sunrise before… partly because access is a little tricky - a 2km power walk down the beach at 6am was needed to get to this location for sunrise. On the edge of Sandy Creek (also known as Sandfly Creek, for good reason!), these mangroves stand at the southern end of Lee Point Beach, before the creek boundary gives way to the northern reaches of Casuarina Beach.
