Desert Spectrum, Uluru - Vivid Territory Collection (Limited Edition) - "Territory Red" Series
On a trip to Alice Springs and seeing the weather forecast, I took a spontaneous drive to Uluru to capture the famous landmark in the rare event of rainfall. I spent 7 days in the Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park, the first 5 or 6 were cold, rainy and grey. There was no light to be seen and any attempt to photograph led to a soggy camera and raindrops on my lenses.
I was getting close to giving up and leaving, due to other commitments back in Alice. However, the final 30 hours or so at Uluru certainly delivered! The rain eased up, the grey-white skies finally started to break, giving a little bit of sunlight and a little bit of cloud structure.
On my final sunset, my one last chance, I was treated to the best light and conditions of the trip - deep blue clouds and finally just enough sunlight to see the rock glow red! The rainbow was just the icing on the cake - finally my efforts paid off.
The resulting image, Desert Spectrum, reflects the iconic colours of the desert landscape. From the deep blue sky, the red earth and green-gold spinifex. The rainbow, the ultimate representation of the colour spectrum! The scene definitely displays the magic of nature, a real piece of art!
The play between light and shadows., with nature’s contrast highlights the natural beauty of this sacred sight. Definitely a special moment that I’m so happy I managed to witness and capture, I’m excited to see this one framed and on the wall!

As a summary,
Rolled Fine Art Prints are pretty much what they say on the tin! A high quality, archive photographic paper which arrives rolled in a tube for you to frame in your desired frame type.
Canvas prints arrive ready to hang and are stretched around a wooden frame with a mirror wrapped edge.
Aluminium prints also arrive ready to hang with a "shadow mount" on the reverse. These are high definition, waterproof and scratch resistant.
Custom sizing by request.
Framing also by request. I handmake all of my own frames, but due to shipping challenges I prefer to keep these for a local pick up option. I can package and ship frames, but the cost will need to be organised on a case by case basis.
