Illuminated (Limited Edition - Exploring Nature's Way Collection)

from A$125.00

Only a 15-minute drive from the Darwin CBD, Nightcliff Foreshore has long been a favourite location of mine to shoot our coastal landscape.

Pictured here is a rocky structure locally known as “the fingers,” which I’ve photographed many times! Over the years of shooting our beaches, I’ve come to favour sunrise for its almost certain solitude and the joy of not knowing where the light and clouds are going to be as the night becomes day! This is one of the few locations at Nightcliff where the sunrise light illuminates the coastline, off to the right of this image toward the mouth of Rapid Creek.

This particular morning was a complete surprise - just when I thought it wasn’t going to happen and the light wasn’t going to create anything image-worthy, the first glimmer of sun over the horizon reflected on to just some of the clouds in the scene, the peach-orange glow echoed on the fingers.

Limited to 20 editions as part of the “Exploring Nature’s Way” Collection -  A Journey through Kakadu, Nitmiluk & Litchfield National Parks. A collection of special images exploring the natural diversity found around Litchfield, Kakadu and Nitmiluk National Park areas and even the Darwin CBD.

The Top End is a unique landscape, and the aim of this collection is to showcase what we have to offer - even to those exploring “Nature’s Way” on a tight time frame. This collection has been compiled in conjunction with Louise’s coffee table book - “The Wonder of Nature’s Way” - a 200+ page book intended to dig deeper into the habitats and ecosystems explored in the region.

Limited Edition print - only 20 copies available. All are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.

For a full description on the types of products I offer, and exactly what you will receive with each option, please be sure to read the "ABOUT" page.

As a summary,

Rolled Fine Art Prints are pretty much what they say on the tin! A high quality, archive photographic paper which arrives rolled in a tube for you to frame in your desired frame type.

Canvas prints arrive ready to hang and are stretched around a wooden frame with a mirror wrapped edge.

Aluminium prints also arrive ready to hang with a "shadow mount" on the reverse. These are high definition, waterproof and scratch resistant.

Custom sizing by request.

Framing also by request. I handmake all of my own frames, but due to shipping challenges I prefer to keep these for a local pick up option. I can package and ship frames, but the cost will need to be organised on a case by case basis. I also often bring in different frames to try regularly so please get in touch if you'd like to see some current frame choices. Otherwise, please come and see them for yourself at the Waterfront Gallery!
